Hello!
My name is Benjamin Santiago Runde, and I am a high school student at the Potomac School and will graduate in the spring of 2024. I am multicultural, as my mom is an immigrant from Argentina, and my dad is from the US. I play soccer and tennis, and I am on my school's robotics team. I have a wide variety of interests, such as math, history, robotics, the outdoors, etc.
Hispanic Identity
My Hispanic identity is an important part of who I am and how I see the world. As someone from a Latino background, thanks to my many ties to Argentina (Mother, Weekly "Argentine School", visited twice a year my entire life, etc), I have developed a deep appreciation for the diversity and richness of Argentine and other Hispanic cultures. I not only speak Spanish at a native level, but I also read and write perfectly.
Interests
As mentioned earlier I have many different interests in many areas thanks to my immense curiosity and love of learning. In school, I find all most all my classes to be fascinating, especially math and history. Outside of school, I love almost anything to do with the outdoors. Additionally, I am very interested in technology and robotics. In general, I always try to learn as much as possible about familiar and new things.
